This flexible home celebrates family gathering while honoring individual independence. The design responds to the steep site by stepping down in levels, minimizing retaining walls. The main program naturally faces northeast toward Geyser Peak views, while the southwest façade is protected by a vertical screen and deep roof overhangs providing shade while allowing for natural lighst and uphill views. Low-sloped overhangs tapering to thin fascias minimize visual impact; the ADU uses a gable roof below the tree canopy, like a woodland cabin.

The main residence has two wings connected by a buffer zone with formal dining, wine room, and office with roof deck. One wing features a double-height entertainment zone with kitchen, living/dining, deck, and two bedrooms. The independent second wing has its own entry, kitchen/living/dining downstairs, and two bedrooms upstairs. A secluded ADU sits on the flatter terrain behind the trees.
Dark standing seam metal, travertine stone, aluminum slats, and fire-resistant wood siding compose the exterior. Porcelain tile, oak flooring, and walnut and oak veneers create a cohesive interior palette.
